Family Rewards System ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by James Ho. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile app (iOS and Android) and web application at rewards.kidsaipro.com.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We will never sell your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers. We do not receive or store passwords.

Family Data: Tasks you create, points awarded, reward redemptions, child profiles (names and avatars you choose), and streaks — all stored in your private family account.

Photo Uploads: Children may submit photos as proof of task completion. These are stored securely in Firebase Storage and are only accessible to your family account.

Usage Data: App analytics may measure feature usage and session length to help us improve the service. Website analytics is described separately below.

Device Information: Standard device information (OS version, device type) collected automatically by Firebase for crash reporting and performance monitoring.

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device's FCM token to send task-review reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Website Analytics & Cookies

Our public landing, marketing, support, and legal pages use Google Analytics 4 only if you select Accept analytics. Before that choice, we do not load the Google Analytics tag or send it measurement events. Rejecting analytics does not limit access to these pages. This website choice does not change analytics settings inside the app.

With permission, we measure page views and clicks on links to the App Store or web app. A click event indicates that you selected a link; it does not prove that you installed or opened the app. Google Analytics derives approximate location, such as country and city, from the connection used to send an event. We do not request your device's precise location for these pages. We disable Google advertising storage and personalisation signals in this website integration.

We save your analytics choice in your browser's local storage for up to 180 days. If you accept, Google Analytics may set analytics cookies such as _ga. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. Rejecting later stops future website analytics collection and attempts to remove analytics cookies set on this site.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Family Rewards System service
• To sync your family data securely across devices
• To send optional push notifications for task reviews and reminders
• To generate weekly reports for your family
• To improve app performance and fix bugs using anonymised analytics
• To manage your subscription and process payments via Apple/Google

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Firebase / Google Cloud: Our backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored in accordance with Google's privacy policies and our Firebase project security rules.
• Apple / Google (payments): Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store payment card information.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Family Rewards System is designed for family use, where a parent or guardian manages the account. Child profiles within the app do not have independent accounts — they are sub-profiles under the parent's account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All data associated with child profiles (names, avatars, task history) is controlled by the parent account holder.

Parents may delete any child profile and all associated data at any time from within the app under Settings → Manage child profiles.

6. Data Storage & Security

Our app data is stored with Google Firebase services in their configured regions. Firestore is configured in us-west1; other services may process data in other regions. Access is protected by Firebase Security Rules that enforce role-based access — parents can only access their own family's data, and child profiles can only access what's assigned to them.

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Firebase Authentication ensures only verified account holders can access family data.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us (see below).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (export your data)

8. Advertising

The free tier of Family Rewards System may display ads served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). These ads are subject to Google's privacy policy. We use a 15-minute cooldown between ad impressions to minimise disruption.

Paid subscribers (Monthly VIP and Annual VIP) receive an entirely ad-free experience. No advertising data is collected for paid users.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
