1. Overview

Family Rewards System ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by James Ho. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile app (iOS and Android) and web application at rewards.kidsaipro.com.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We will never sell your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers. We do not receive or store passwords.

Family Data: Tasks you create, points awarded, reward redemptions, child profiles (names and avatars you choose), and streaks โ€” all stored in your private family account.

Photo Uploads: Children may submit photos as proof of task completion. These are stored securely in Firebase Storage and are only accessible to your family account.

Usage Data: Firebase Analytics may collect anonymised usage statistics such as feature usage frequency and session length to help us improve the app. This data cannot identify individual users.

Device Information: Standard device information (OS version, device type) collected automatically by Firebase for crash reporting and performance monitoring.

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device's FCM token to send task-review reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

We do not share your family's task data, child profiles, or photos with any third party for advertising, analytics resale, or any other commercial purpose.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Family Rewards System is designed for family use, where a parent or guardian manages the account. Child profiles within the app do not have independent accounts โ€” they are sub-profiles under the parent's account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All data associated with child profiles (names, avatars, task history) is controlled by the parent account holder.

Parents may delete any child profile and all associated data at any time from within the app under Settings โ†’ Manage child profiles.

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) in the us-central1 region. Access is protected by Firebase Security Rules that enforce role-based access โ€” parents can only access their own family's data, and child profiles can only access what's assigned to them.

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Firebase Authentication ensures only verified account holders can access family data.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us (see below).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

You can delete your account in the app under Settings โ†’ Delete account. If you have an active iOS or Android subscription, account deletion does not cancel Apple or Google Play billing; please manage or cancel the subscription in the relevant store.

8. Advertising

The free tier of Family Rewards System may display ads served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). These ads are subject to Google's privacy policy. We use a 15-minute cooldown between ad impressions to minimise disruption.

Paid subscribers (Monthly VIP, Annual VIP, and Pioneer Pack) receive an entirely ad-free experience. No advertising data is collected for paid users.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
